Born on 1st November 1973 Aishwariya is an Indian actress and former Miss World.she was born in Tulu karnataka,at her young age Rai never thought of becoming actress but her dreams were to an artchitect,while her studies she began modelling on the other side.In the year 1994 she won the crown of Miss World,with this indian film industry got a talented and beautiful actress Languages known to Rai are mother tongue Tulu, Hindi, English, Marathi and Tamil.
Rai's acting career started with a Tamil film Iruvar,she entered in bollywood with movie "Aur Pyaar Ho Gaya" opposite Bobby Deol which was not successful on the box office.Then in 1999 a film named "Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam" was released and it became a great success to her.Subhash Ghai's film "Taal" in which Rai acted as a village girl got a huge response from international audience. In Sanjay Leela Bhansali's movie "Devdas" she was characterised as Paro against Shahrukh khan which made her won another film fare award,later she did a Bengali movie Chokher Bali.
For the first time Rai played a negative role in film "Khakee" by Rajkumar Santoshi after some down fall she came with a full spirit in film Bunty Aur Babli for a song appearance (kajra re).In year 2006 movie "Dhoom - 2" was released in which Rai was opposite to Hrithik Roshan this a super hit film, next year she had movie Guru. She got a role of Jodha Bai in film Jodhaa Akbar with Hrithik Roshan this was a commercial success.
"Raavana" is the next release of rai with Abhishek Bachchan, and "Guzaarish" opposite Hrithik Roshan in the lead.
