Amitabh Harivansh Bachchan is born on 11 October 1942 in Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh India. Amitabh's father Dr. Harivansh Rai Bachchan was a Hindi poet, his mother Teji was interested in theatre but gave priority to family.His first film was “Saat Hindustani”,then he got a supporting role in movie “Anand”,his earlier film did not get him any fame. His height is 6’3”and has a strong heavy voice.
Film Zanjeer in 1973 changed Amitabh's acting career and soon he was known as "angry young man"of Indian film industry, the same year he married Jaya Bhaduri and one month later their movie Abhimaan was released.In 1975 he got a role in film Deewar which was a blockbuster that year.uptill now mugal-a-azam was the highest grossing movie but on 15th August 1975 a super hit film Sholay was released which collected 60 million US$ and became highest earning movie of Indian cinema, this film was awarded Filmfare Best Film of 50 Years. After this he did many other movies like Kabhie Kabhie (romantic),Chupke Chupke andAmarAkbarAnthony(comedy).Year 1978 was a great success to him,his all four flim got a superb response films such as Kasme Vaade,Don,Trishul and Muqaddar Ka Sikander.In film Mr.Natwarlal Amitabh not showed his acting talent but also sing a song,1982 was the worst year for him because while filming a fight for movie Coolie he had a severe injury and was on bed for several months, Later on he was diagnosed with Myasthenia gravis, and he got mentally disturbed.
In 1984 he set his mind to enter in politics and fought for 8th Lok Sabha seat (Allahabad) and also he won with majority, but this Indian politics does not satisfied him he turned out.Again a new start in film industry by playing role in Shahenshah,after this there was a slow down in his career because any of the released movie did not worked on box office. He got second National Film Award for film Agneepath.
With a great film career Amitabh tried to enter in entertainment world through TV shows and became host of Kaun Banega Crorepati and Bigg Boss 3,KBC was a success to Amitabh.In 2005 a movie named Black was released won him awards.
His first english film was "The Last Lear” and got good response.The sequel of film Sarkar was released in year 2005 as Sarkar Raj.Paa was the next film for which he became a 13 year Progerian boy and every one complimented for his acting. In 2010 he hassssve films like Rann,Teen Patti,Shoebite,Kandahar.
